The new F45NM D…-R08 is an economical, very efficient face mill family for medium and rough face milling applications. The new family has a range of 80-200 mm for face mill cutters.

, octagonal insert used on these tools offers
16 cutting edges
with positive rake angles.
Main Features
• Very simple, central screw clamping for the insert
(no costly spare parts).
• Coarse pitch cutters for medium and heavy
machining applications.
• 16 cutting edges are available when used in
5.5 mm D.O.C., which means a most economical
price per cutting edge.
• The negative insert construction enables
machining at high feed per tooth.
• The ONMU 080608 insert geometry with a variety
of carbide grades, covers the most popular
workpiece machining applications.
• Positive rake cutting action to reduce cutting
forces.
• HARD TOUCH nickel plated tools - extremely hard
surface, corrosion resistant, low friction
coefficient reduces wear and prolongs tool life.
• Up to 0.5 mm/tooth feed for Fast Metal Removal
(F.M.R.).
The F45MN cutters are economically advantageous over any
ISO standard tools (such as those using SNKN or SNUN) or even over the tools that use octagonal positive inserts for 45° medium and rough 45° face milling.
The ONMU 0806.. inserts are available in a wide selection of carbide grades covering most materials and applications.
